Dan Bauer has extensive experience in all aspects of media, public and community relations for the performing and cultural arts with a proven track record of successful feature story development and placement in local, regional, and national media outlets across all platforms, including traditional, digital and social media. He possesses a broad experience contributing to all aspects of institutional, event and program marketing, including promotion and advertising, graphic design, copywriting, and website and social media content management.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Bauer has been promoting the arts for over 20 years. Before starting Dan Bauer Communications, he was the long-time director of public and community relations at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey. As the producer of Smart Talk Connected Conversations, Bauer has worked with a long list of distinguished speakers including Julie Andrews, Coretta Scott King, Debbie Reynolds, Maya Angelou, Dr. Jane Goodall, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, and Phylicia Rashad. His other credits include the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival, the Newark Black Film Festival (Trenton), the U.S. premiere of the Budapest Klezmer Band, as well as such greats as Babtunde Olatunji, Odetta, Pete Seeger, Holly Near, David Byrne, Janis Ian, Ben Vereen and Richie Havens. Bauer also produced/directed the documentary leben, um zu sagen (live to tell). He received his B.A. from State University of New York at Fredonia and his M.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
